Why Jewellery Prices Are Changing
At KOBO Jewellery, we believe in timeless design and quality craftsmanship. But just like gold, prices naturally change over time.
Over the past year, the cost of precious metals has surged. K18 gold steadily rose throughout the year and Platinum jumped nearly 40 percent in December 2025. For fashion and bridal customers, this affects the cost of creating every KOBO piece, from the metal itself to the hand-finished details that make each item unique.
Updating our prices is not a decision we take lightly. While change can feel concerning, it reflects the lasting value of the jewellery you wear and treasure.

Gold & Precious Metals are on the Rise
The price of gold, platinum, and other precious metals has been steadily climbing. While we’ve worked hard to keep prices stable, material costs have increased, and we must adjust pricing to maintain KOBO’s signature quality, durability, and timeless design.
Our goal is simple: ensure that every piece you purchase continues to be beautiful, handcrafted, and valuable for years to come.

What does this mean for you?
Many ask: “Does a price increase mean it’s not a good time to buy?”
The answer is no. In fact, the opposite is true. Jewellery retains, and often gains, value when metal prices rise. Buying today ensures you secure the pieces you love before prices adjust further.
KOBO jewellery is crafted for:
- Timeless style for all – Handmade pieces stand out far beyond fast fashion
- Bridal customers – Engagement and wedding rings that are minimal, meaningful, and built to last, carrying memories and stories with every piece
This mean that your jewellery becomes a long-term asset, not just a fleeting accessory, while holding the personal touch and emotional value of your loved ones

Looking ahead — How our pricing will be updated
If you’ve been thinking about joining our bridal or gold workshops, now is the perfect time to book a workshop with us. By reserving before the end of the quarter, you lock in the current prices and secure your place for the respective sessions.
KOBO pricing is updated quarterly to reflect material costs:
Quarterly Pricing Breakdown
- Q1: January – March
- Q2: April – June
- Q3: July – September
- Q4: October – December
Current prices apply for bookings within the quarter. Updated pricing will take effect each new quarter, with a 5% discount available for early bookings.
This approach means there will be no major price revisions outside this schedule, and all updates will reflect global metal market trends – ensuring fairness for our customers.
