Class Details

This section offers essential details about our classes, including duration, materials provided, and common inquiries.

Absolutely! At KOBO, we strive to bring the artistry of fine jewellery crafting to everyone, whether it’s working with precious metals like 18K Gold, Platinum, or Silver.

Our goal is to ensure that every customer leaves our workshop with a memorable piece, crafted with care and creativity during our 2 to 3-hour sessions.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Please contact us in advance if you wish to bring children so we can make appropriate arrangements.

No. Due to limited space and safety concerns, only attendees making the jewellery may stay in the workshop area.

Non-participating guests may be requested to leave or explore nearby areas.

Our studio is located on the 3rd floor and is accessible via stairs only. Please contact us ahead of time so we can assist you if needed.

Explore our diverse range of classes, spanning from bridal and 18K/platinum to silver jewellery crafting.

Delve into our extensive menu, which includes ring-making sessions, as well as classes for crafting bangles, necklaces, and earrings. To learn more, please visit our workshop menu here.

Silver classes typically run for 2 hours, while bridal (K18/Platinum) classes require 3 hours for completion.

🔸 Bridal (K18/Platinum) Classes
2 time slots are available daily: 10 am–1 pm or 2 pm–5 pm

🔸 Silver / Selected K18 Gold Classes
3 time slots are available daily: 10 am–12 pm, 2 pm–4 pm, and 5 pm–7 pm

🔸 Group Classes (4–6 pax):
2 time slots are available daily: 10 am–1 pm or 2 pm–5 pm
Depending on the jewellery designs, group sessions typically run for 2.5 to 3 hours. Please note that the workshop process may be adjusted for group sessions. We recommend planning your designs and engravings in advance to make the most of your hands-on experience.

Note: There will be short breaks during the workshop for our team to refine your rings and prepare them for collection.

In our studio, we specialize in working with a variety of precious metals, including:

🔸18K — Champagne, Rose, and Yellow Gold

🔸Platinum

🔸925 Silver

For silver/18K classes that do not require stone settings, you will be able to collect the piece after the workshop.

🔸Wedding Rings:

The workshop provides a comprehensive experience — the opportunity to engage in hand engraving and hammering textures on the metal ingot, which will then be transformed into your rings. If you’re crafting with 18K Gold, you’ll be able to collect your rings at the end of the class.

However, please understand that stone setting requires a lead time of 6 to 8 weeks. This is because the rings will need to be sent back to our Japan atelier for the final finishing touches.

🔸Engagement Ring:

The workshop focuses on crafting the ring base, allowing you to enjoy hand engraving and creating textures on the metal ingot, which will be transformed into your ring.

Following this, our craftsmen from Japan will design a crown to fit the specific stone chosen, along with the stone-setting process, with a lead time of 6 to 8 weeks before completion.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes. All tools and materials will be provided, so there’s no need to bring anything.

Absolutely! Many of our participants attend solo. Our instructors provide hands-on guidance to ensure a fulfilling experience for everyone.

Our workshops maintain a 1:1 instructor-to-group ratio. Should you choose to craft two rings independently, rest assured that our instructor will facilitate your progress, ensuring completion within the allocated session.

Yes, we offer post-workshop services including polishing, repairs, and resizing. Fees may apply depending on the nature of the request.

Please note that visits are strictly by appointment only, as we do not accommodate walk-ins.

To learn more, kindly refer to our Terms & Conditions or refer to “Jewellery Care, Resize & Warranty” section below for more details.

Our classes are conducted in English. Mandarin classes are available based on instructor availability. If you require this service, please send us an inquiry before the class so we can make the necessary arrangements.

We are dedicated to bringing the best experience to all customers. KOBO exclusive artisan events are held tentatively every 4 months — please follow our socials for the latest news!

Special Requests

Some inquiries pertaining to requests for special customization services and gemstone queries.

Yes, we offer laser engraving for special symbols and font texts. However, additional charges will incur depending on the complexity of the engraving.

Pricing is as follows:

  • $80 per symbol/emoji (Up to 2 revisions)
  • $150 per text/handwriting (Up to 2 revisions)
  • Engraving fixing (after 1-year warranty period): $100

Jewellery Care, Resize & Warranty

This section outlines essential information on caring for your jewellery, resizing options, and the warranty coverage for KOBO pieces.

By following proper care tips, you can help preserve the beauty and longevity of your K18 Gold, Platinum, and Silver pieces for years to come.

Check out our Jewellery Care Guide to learn more about your jewellery care tips and maintenance.

To restore shine to your silver pieces, you can try the following methods:

  • Polishing Cloth: Use a soft, non-abrasive polishing cloth specifically designed for gold or silver jewellery. Gently rub the cloth over the surface of the silver to remove tarnish and restore shine. The studio offers these for $5 each. If interested, please inform our instructors at the conclusion of the class!
  • Baking Soda Paste: Make a paste by mixing baking soda with water until it forms a thick consistency. Apply the paste to the tarnished areas using a soft cloth or sponge, then gently rub in a circular motion. Rinse with water and dry thoroughly.
  • All KOBO jewellery includes a 1-year warranty from the date of collection, covering craftsmanship and material defects under proper usage. The warranty includes:

    • 1 complimentary resizing (within ±2 size, subject to jewellery’s design)
    • 1 complimentary resizing (within ±2 size, subject to jewellery’s design)
    • Complimentary polishing (recommended annually or every two years)
    • Setting of loose gems, provided the original stones are returned

Please note, this warranty excludes normal wear and tear and is void in cases of loss, theft, improper use, negligence, or unauthorized repair attempts.

Resizing applies only to the originally intended finger and is subject to the conditions outlined below:

  • Within 1-Year Warranty:
All KOBO jewellery includes a 1-year warranty from the date of collection, covering craftsmanship and material defects under proper use.
The warranty includes 1 complimentary resizing (within ± 1 to 2 sizes, subject to jewellery’s design).

  • Post-Warranty (after 1 Year):
Gold / Platinum Rings: Resizing or adjustments may incur a fee of $100–200, especially if refinement by our Japan Atelier is required.
Silver Rings: Resizing or adjustments may incur a fee of $30–50, assessed on a case-by-case basis depending on complexity.

  • Silver Rings resizing limitation:
    • Gemstone settings rings cannot be resized
    • Wavy and Tiara special designs cannot be resized
    • Twist special designs are not recommended to downsize
    • 5.5mm band width can be resized within ± 1 sizes only

2.5mm to 4.0mm band width can be resized within ± 2 sizes
